Volumetric Accuracy Testing


Accuracy is critical in today's manufacturing environment.
When customers fill with a higher degree of accuracy, costly product is saved.
Extra containers from every batch equals increased profit.
We are continually testing and improving our filling methods to help you achieve these goals.
Recent test results in our research labs have returned accuracies up to +/- .09% by volume*
using double acting volumetric pump fillers.
We are actively working to incorporate these technologies into future machines.

* Filling tests were conducted using water and results may vary by product gravities and textures.
 
ABA-2000 - 5 Gallon Volumetric Pump
The following tests were performed using the ABA-COV-85A fill head.
40 containers where filled and then each container was weighed and the results documented as shown below:

All the following tests were performed using the ABA-COV-85QTS Quart/Gallon container fill head.
Accuracy will be improved with higher viscosity products.
A total of 20 containers were filled using the filling equipment.
Different air pressures and fill head nozzle openings were used for each series of tests to provide variations in the filling conditions.
When the 20 containers where filled, each container was weighed and the results documented as shown below:
 
Filling Quart Size Containers with Approximately 2lbs of water.

Accuracy ranged from .28 % to .40% when filling around 2 lbs of water.

Accuracy ranged from .10 % to .28% when filling around 11 lbs of water.
