ABA Cone Fill Head have been used with great success
for thick and thin products, from stains to high viscosity
latex paints. They eliminate the stringing problems
associated with capillary tube styles.
The cone opening can easily be adjusted anywhere
from fully closed to a full 1 inch opening with the
adjustable stroke air cylinder giving excellent product
flow control while still allowing large product volumes.
ABA Fill Heads are available in many different configurations
with different sized nozzles for filling Pint Cans to
5 Gallon Pails and inlet manifolds in 2 inch or 3 inch
diameter. Our fill heads are also available with
special flush attachment nozzles. The flush attachment
nozzles provide a quick connector for attaching hoses
to run product or cleaner through the fill heads without
having containers underneath.

What are the benefits of the ABA Cone Style Fill
Heads?
The cup and cone fill head was originally
designed to eliminate the problems associated with
“stringing” from capillary style nozzles. It was
extremely successful in this area and has proved to
be a great success in filling latex paints, oil
based paints as well as stains and deck sealers.
The biggest single benefit is that the cone style
fill head gives a drip free cut off eliminating
problems with drips on the container.
Additionally there is not need to change nozzles
when filling different viscosity paints, the cone
style fill heads are used for stains, deck sealers,
oil and latex paint and heavy adhesives with great
success.
Maintenance is kept to an absolute minimum – the
capillary nozzle has to be unscrewed and removed
periodically to clean out skin and debris which can
get caught in the tubes, this does not occur with
the cone fill head – in addition there is no rubber
valve seat pad to replace, the cone fill nozzle uses
a stainless steel valve foot and seat giving
increased life to the whole assembly.
There is, unquestionably, substantially less
downtime when using the cone fill head assembly,
instead of a capillary style assembly.
Clean up is simple, there are no screens or tubes to
clean, it can be flushed in place and any paint
splatter buildup can be wiped clean from the
underside exterior.
Pricing of the assembly is very competitive,
especially when compared to a 3” inlet capillary
speed head, the cup and cone fill head is almost
half the price and under half the weight (14#’s
compared to 30#’s), fill speeds are equal to, or
better than, the capillary head in almost every
application.
